Under the tutelage of his father, Pt. Pramod Marathe, a renowned exponent of the harmonium and his mother Smt. Parineeta Marathe, Praneet has steadfastly dedicated himself to the propagation of Indian Classical music in India and globally, propelled by his profound musical heritage.
Praneet’s musical odyssey commenced at the tender age of 6, sparked by his exposure to the mellifluous strains of Indian classical music resonating from his father’s performances. His debut concert at the age of 12 marked the onset of his career. He has accompanied eminent musical luminaries such as Dr. Arun Dravid, Pt. Shounak Abhisheki, Ritesh and Rajnish Mishra, Pt. Shriniwas Joshi, Smt. Indrani Mukherjee, and others. His repertoire graces prestigious platforms worldwide, including the Pune Festival, Yuva Sangeet Samaroh Pune, All India Radio concerts, and Ragamala, the foremost overnight showcase of live Indian classical music in the United States.
