Shri Pratik Shrivastava
Pratik Shrivastava is an accomplished sarod artist of the Maihar gharana, recognized for his expressive tone, intricate melodic development, and command over rhythm. He began learning music at the age of six under the guidance of his grandfather, the noted sarod maestro Pandit Rabi Chakraborty, and later continued his training with his uncle, Dr. Rajeeb Chakraborty. Over the years, he has also received guidance from eminent musicians including Ajoy Chakrabarty and Tejendra Narayan Majumdar. He has performed widely across India and internationally, presenting the rich instrumental tradition of the Maihar gharana on prestigious concert stages and festivals.
In addition to his classical recitals, Pratik Shrivastava has collaborated with prominent artists across diverse musical settings, including A. R. Rahman, Anoushka Shankar, and Bickram Ghosh. His performances are noted for balancing the depth of traditional raga exposition with a contemporary sensibility that connects with global audiences. A recipient of the Government of India’s National Scholarship in Music and several other honors, he continues to perform internationally while contributing to the evolving global presence of the sarod.
Shri. Tejovrush Joshi
Tejovrush Joshi is a rising tabla artist of the Farrukhabad gharana, known for his clarity of tone, refined accompaniment, and strong command over rhythmic intricacies. Born into a musical family, he is the son of vocalist Vidushi Shalmalee Joshi of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana and composer Sunil Joshi. He received rigorous training for over a decade under the late Pandit Bapusaheb Patwardhan, an esteemed disciple in the lineage of the legendary Ustad Ahmedjaan Thirakhwa Khan Sahib. Over the years, he has performed widely across India and internationally, presenting both solo tabla recitals and accompaniment in Hindustani classical concerts.
As an accompanist, Tejovrush Joshi has collaborated with leading vocalists and instrumentalists across generations, earning recognition for his sensitive and dynamic tabla support. His performances have been featured at prestigious festivals and venues including Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, Gaansaraswati Mahotsav, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai, and several international concert tours. A graded artist of All India Radio, he has received accolades in state and national-level competitions and continues to perform extensively while contributing to the evolving landscape of Hindustani classical percussion.
